Professional Art Classes
Black Cockatoo Gallery hosts a range of art classes with Ross Franzi and workshops throughout the year, catering for those with no background in art to the more advanced artist. Ross teaches students who can then continue on to set courses in painting and drawing.
Exhibitions are held three times per year showcasing Ross Franzi's work together with local artists' and student works.
Basic to Advanced Drawing Classes
Ross teaches professional art classes ranging from basic to advanced drawing classes. In this course the student learns how to understand drawing techniques which includes lighting, texture, size, shape and composition.
This class is perfect for beginners as drawing is the essence to all other forms of art mediums.
Different Mediums Classes
He teaches different mediums such as oils, acrylic, gouache, watercolour and pen and ink. In this course students will learn the nuances of the tools of the trade including the various brushes, how to correctly mix paint, paper types and canvases and how to prepare for a painting. Colour and application of each medium will also be covered in depth.
This class is ideal for people who are interested in painting at a basic or advanced level but would like to experiment with the various mediums.

For the professional artist Ross teaches from advanced to master level art classes which is highly personalised and at the high end of art studies. Subjects such as light intensity, shadow on shadows and art build up will be taught in detail.
This class is ideal for art teachers or hobby artists looking to move seriously into the professional art space. The classes are typically performed one-on-one and are customised to your precise requirements.
